Wallcolor – Moonshine by Benjamin Moore in Matte
Trim – Simply White-colored by Benjamin Moore in Semi-gloss
Nightstand – Remodeled from the Tarva dresser from IKEA and colored first in Duxbury Grey after which Ocean Haze
Pulls – Martha Stewart at home Depot (spray colored gold and aged with Annie Sloan Dark Wax)

This project is Amazing. We lately just got such a bed which is super high…I’m still trying to find nightstands myself. We want a minimum of 30″ or 31″ nightstands.Which are the height from the the dresser using the bun ft?
Thanks, Denise! The dresser was 36″ using their legs so with mine I am guessing its between 32-33 inches.

i like the way the nightstand arrived on the scene. ive been focusing on our kitchen using IKEA cabinets. place them altogether simply by myself. chance to learn although not bad. i love them. my question for you personally is. how can you like while using annie sloan obvious wax when compared with a satin memory??
Thanks! I can not really compare the 2, when i avoid using memory everything frequently (although I believe there are several bloggers who’ve discussed the benefits and drawbacks of every previously), but I have been happy using the Annie Sloan wax each time I have tried on the extender.

You’re so sweet, Patty! And That I just grabbed the thinnest pieces I discovered at Lowe’s. I don’t know exactly what the sizing in it was. The next time I’m available I’ll look and find out the things they were known as! These were about 50 cents for any strip which means you could most likely bring a couple of home to try and see how big works well with your cabinets.
So glad this publish sprang in my newsfeed! We too, possess a king-size bed and I’ve been around the search for any small dresser for a nightstand, but keep hitting roadblocks just when was involves cost. Appears like a vacation to Ikea is within my future!

I have never purchased not an area rug from Ikea. It’s the one thehouseofsmiths.com have within their entryway…. I made the decision Let me get it in mine, too. Well, I’m not impressed & wondered if all Ikea goods are flimsy, and so i am watching for the publish.
My women want bunkbeds so bad & I simply bought 2 antique French Provincial twin beds for his or her room, and so i really don’t wish to change them! However, I recall as being a kid & wanting a bunkbed SO BAD & did not get one….. ha! I figured about buying some from Ikea, but they’re ugly. I’m brainstorming a hack on their behalf & hunting the web. Another blogger I really like just bought her twins the bunks after that, but she left them out of the box. It is going well together with her decor though. I requested if they’re sturdy, but haven’t heard back yet. I am so torn!
What is your opinion? Clean up the FP twin beds & opt for some bunks? 🙂

This really is so beautiful! I’m thinking about acquiring the Tarva for any shared nightstand/dresser among two boys’ twin beds. I had been thinking about doing Annie Sloan French Linen, but having seen this and studying this, I am hacking your hack! I’ve gray latex paint I’m able to use and can obvious wax it. And also the pulls as well as your modification seem to be wonderful! So lovely!!

This looks great! I’m thinking about painting a Tarva dresser along with a dining room table concentrating on the same method. Could it be fairly straightfoward to simply begin with the more dark color after which use a few of the lighter one while the first continues to be wet? Thanks!

I really like your site and exactly how the nightstands switched out. So pretty! I’m wondering, the number of jackets from the dark you put onto before brushing around the Ocean Haze? Have you dry brush only the Ocean Haze? And just what paint sheen have you use? Satin? Matte? Eggshell? I thank you for time!
Thanks! I am confident it had been only one heavy coat, however they were sample cans so that they did not genuinely have a listed sheen.
