Hoodoo Lounge’s new CD was voted CD of the season by L.I. Blues Society as well as their previous CD “HooDoo Lounger (2015) was voted among the 5 best CD’s of the season by NPR Radio Station WPPB (Southampton, NY).
Presenting The HooDoo Loungers
The HooDoo Loungers really are a nine piece New England based band performing music inspired through the rhythms, sounds, background and spirit of recent Orleans. The band’s seem encompasses traditional New Orleans Jazz, Brass Band, classic R&B and funk – a mix of original music and re-arranged New Orleans classics. Their second album of original music Mind & HEART & Sides released at the end of 2018 has won the very best CD Of The Season award in the L.I. BLUES SOCIETY. Becasue it is formation in 2008, the HooDoo’s have performed at numerous New England music festivals and concerts in addition to performing at top music venues like the Vital Theater (Huntington), The Stephen Talkhouse (The Hamptons) and B.B. Nobleman Blues Club (New york city), Patchogue Theater (NY), Sellersville Playhouse (PA) and many more .
